Pastor Joel Adedeji, who lives in Ogbomosho, has shared how his attempt to make quick money through money rituals when he was younger ended in tragedy.
Speaking in an interview with BBC Yoruba, he explained that he turned to a herbalist many years ago because he wanted a better life and more money.
He said the herbalist gave him instructions to sleep with a woman of his choice and use a piece of cloth to wipe her private part after the act.
He recalled, “The baba said I should look for someone I like and have intercourse with her and use a cloth to clean her private part once I am done. After I did that, truly money came, honestly, then he asked me to bring more.”
Adedeji said he followed the additional instructions, but the herbalist later warned him that he would never use the money to buy a car or build a house.
According to the pastor, he enjoyed the wealth for about four to five years before his life took a different turn.
He also recounted how he lost one of his legs in an accident involving his own car. He explained that the vehicle was being driven by someone he had given money to buy it.
He said, “Before I knew it, I got hit and landed in the hospital, and before I woke up the next day, my leg had been amputated.”
He advised young people to be patient, adding that what is meant for them will never pass them by.
