VIDEO: Nigerian Landlord Brutally Beaten For Increasing House Rent From ₦200,000 To ₦350,000

A Nigerian landlord has recounted how his tenant allegedly punched him in the eye after he informed him about an increase in his annual house rent.

The landlord said the tenant had lived in his property for six years, paying ₦200,000 yearly when he first moved in.

However, he explained that the rising cost of building materials, especially cement, pushed him to raise the rent to ₦350,000 per year.

According to the landlord, he had been increasing the rent every year. He said he was informing the tenant about the latest increase when the alleged attack happened.

The landlord expressed shock over the tenant’s alleged reaction, considering that he had lived in the property for six years.
