Natasha Osawaru, wife of legendary singer 2Baba, has seemingly confirmed their reported split after dropping his surname from her name.
In a video shared online, the Edo lawmaker addressed members of the Edo State House of Assembly as Natasha Irobosa Osawaru. She previously went by Natasha Osawaru Idibia.
The couple have faced several controversies since making their relationship public in 2025, with recent events pointing to a possible separation.
Natasha was notably absent from 2Baba’s 51st birthday party in September. The singer attended the celebration with four of his children and his mother.

In August, the pair reportedly clashed at an Abuja club after Natasha arrived with her entourage, demanding to see her husband. An eyewitness said 2Baba later calmed the situation.
After the incident, the singer shared photos with the IGP, saying they had a meaningful conversation about community policing.
During a concert in December, 2Baba apologised to the public, asking Nigerians to forgive him and his family.
Last year, videos also showed the singer being arrested in handcuffs following an altercation with Natasha in the UK. His former staff member, Kaka, later told Freeze that Natasha often hindered his growth and exerted psychological control over him.
2Baba also joined a live broadcast to address the controversy but left after a heated argument with Natasha.
The singer traditionally married Natasha on July 25, 2025, in a private ceremony attended by close relatives, including his parents.
In November 2025, they welcomed their first child, whose gender remains unknown after the couple kept Nigerians guessing.
