A Facebook user, Peaceful Egefe, has shared photos from Akeddei community in Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, raising concerns over the reported high number of children and teenage mothers in the area.
Egefe called on the government to intervene, claiming that some girls as young as 14 have already given birth to two or three children.
In a Facebook post on Monday, October 12, 2026, he expressed concern about the situation and the number of children in the community.
“Akeddei community in Sagbama LGA has the most populated number of children, Omo 14 year old girl self in Akeddei community don born like two to three children, children full the community no were to drop legs self. Omo this community needs serious government intervention,” he wrote.
Egefe, who hails from another community in Bayelsa State, urged the government to take the situation in Akeddei seriously.
