“I Told Him…” Bruno Fernandes Speaks On Ronaldo’s Clash With Jorge Jesus

Portugal midfielder Bruno Fernandes has spoken about his conversation with Cristiano Ronaldo after the veteran forward’s reported fallout with head coach Jorge Jesus.

Ronaldo left Portugal’s camp ahead of Thursday’s UEFA Nations League meeting with Denmark after Jesus left him on the bench for the Croatia game.

Following Ronaldo’s departure, Fernandes was handed the captain’s armband.

The Manchester United midfielder has now broken his silence on the situation, saying he spoke directly with Ronaldo about his place in the national team.

“I spoke with Cristiano Ronaldo and told him that he is and will always remain the greatest icon of our national team and our country.

“Our national team is united, not divided.

“Matters must be resolved internally and conclude well for both parties.”
