Prophet Emmanuel Okeke has criticised social media critic VeryDarkMan (VDM) over his comments on Apostle Arome Osayi’s remarks about technology, saying spiritual revival should not be treated as a rival to technological growth.
The cleric questioned VDM’s understanding of the issue and said technology should not be played down because someone is calling for revival.
He argued that spiritual intelligence comes before artificial intelligence, saying people depend on AI because of their own limitations.
“Revival is better than technology. Don’t be a fool. Spiritual intelligence is better than artificial intelligence,” he declared.
Emmanuel also challenged VDM to examine what he had achieved in the technology industry, claiming his own contributions were beyond what the social media personality could achieve.
He further accused VDM of gaining attention through controversies instead of meaningful achievements.
“The only thing he has built is scandals. The only thing he has built is gossip. The only thing he has built is slandering people,” he said.
While stressing that he had no personal relationship with Apostle Arome, Pastor Kayo said he would not accept anyone disrespecting people who had devoted themselves to preaching the gospel.
He ended by rejecting what he described as an attack on those who had laboured in God’s work.
