The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has cut the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly called petrol, to ₦1,370 per litre in parts of Abuja and its environs.
A market survey conducted on Wednesday morning, September 30, found that NNPCL retail stations in Wuse Zone 6, Zone 4 and Air Junction had reduced their prices from ₦1,395 per litre. The new rate represents a ₦25 reduction.
The latest adjustment comes after similar price cuts by independent marketers, including MRS filling stations, which also reduced petrol to ₦1,370 per litre.
The move followed a ₦25 reduction in the gantry price of petrol by the Dangote Refinery, bringing it down to ₦1,325 per litre.
Meanwhile, international crude oil prices stood at $103 per barrel for Brent and $90 per barrel for West Texas Intermediate (WTI) blends.
