The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has fully restored its Central Admissions Processing System, CAPS, after a temporary disruption.
JAMB announced the development on its X platform and urged institutions to speed up their admission processes to make up for lost time and meet the approved deadlines for the 2026/2027 admission exercise.
The Board also asked candidates to promptly accept admission offers made through CAPS.
According to JAMB, public universities must complete their admissions by October 31, 2026. Private universities have until November 30, while other tertiary institutions have until December 31, 2026.
The Board further called on candidates who were waiting for their 2026 NECO Senior School Certificate Examination, SSCE, results to upload or verify their results following their release.
JAMB said this would ensure candidates’ credentials are available for consideration as institutions step up their admission processes.
“CAPS is back and fully operational,” JAMB said. The Board also apologised for the inconvenience caused by the temporary disruption and thanked candidates, institutions and other stakeholders for their patience and understanding.
