Nigerian Navy Opens 2026 Batch 39 Recruitment, Check Who Can Apply

The Nigerian Navy has opened its 2026 recruitment exercise for Batch 39 of the Nigerian Navy Basic Training School.

The exercise will run from October 2 to October 31, 2026. According to the recruitment guideline shared on the Navy’s X handle on Monday, eligible applicants must apply online through the official recruitment portal.

The Navy stressed that the process is completely free and warned applicants not to pay anyone claiming to help them secure recruitment.

“Online registration and other recruitment processes are free of charge and no payment should be made at any point to anyone throughout the Exercise,” the Navy said.

The recruitment is for Nigerian citizens by birth who have a National Identification Number (NIN) and meet the required educational, age, physical and medical conditions.

Applicants must be at least 1.69 metres tall for males and 1.65 metres for females. They must also be medically, psychologically and physically fit and have no criminal conviction.

O’Level applicants must be aged 18 to 22 by December 31, 2026, with at least five credits, including Mathematics and English Language, in not more than two sittings.

The guideline also lists requirements for OND/NCE holders, tradesmen, medical professionals and sportsmen and women.

Successful applicants must print their acknowledgement, parent or guardian consent, Local Government attestation and guarantor’s certification forms.

The Navy said examination dates and venues would be announced later.

“Only a single valid application is permitted, multiple online applications shall be disqualified,” the guideline stated.

Applicants must also be able to communicate in basic English or risk disqualification at any stage.
