“I Want Ballon D’Or Back at Real Madrid” – Mbappé

Kylian Mbappé wants the Ballon d’Or back at Real Madrid and believes the award would give Madridistas another reason to celebrate.

Speaking to Diario AS on Thursday, the French forward said he hopes the prize returns to the Santiago Bernabéu.

“I really want the Ballon d’Or to return to Real Madrid,” Mbappé said. “It needs to come back to the Bernabéu, to the Madridistas, to return for all those people and give them something to be excited about. They deserve it more than anyone.”

Mbappé also spoke about his own chances of winning the award, saying his performances should do the talking.

“In my opinion, this is a good year to win it,” he said. “My feet are my best advocates, more so than anything I might say!”

His comments show his desire to join football’s elite and compete for the sport’s biggest individual prize after moving to Real Madrid.

The France star also praised Barcelona teenager Lamine Yamal and backed him to enjoy a big career.

“Lamine Yamal is a very talented player, and I have a feeling he’s going to have a great career,” Mbappé said. “I wish him all the best.”

While Madrid and Barcelona remain fierce rivals, Mbappé acknowledged Yamal’s growing influence.

For now, Mbappé’s target is clear: help Real Madrid fight for major trophies while pushing for the Ballon d’Or.
