Nigerian dancer and entertainer Poco Lee is due to appear in a United Kingdom court for a plea hearing on February 8, 2027. His trial is expected to start on March 8, 2027.
Benjamin Kuti, popularly known as Oluomo of Derby, gave the update after attending court proceedings on Tuesday.
“I was in court today, as I mentioned in my last tweet, regarding the case involving one of our Nigerian brothers, Poco Lee,” Kuti said.
Kuti had earlier confirmed on August 24 that Poco Lee was being held on remand in a UK prison and was expected in court in September for a plea hearing.
He has now clarified that the hearing has been moved to February 8, 2027, while the trial will begin a month later on March 8.
Kuti also called on the public to let the court process take its course and not rush to judgment over allegations or information being shared publicly.
“Everyone is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and that principle must be respected throughout the entire process,” he said.
