Veteran Nollywood actor Yemi Solade has shared how he once took money to act as a physically disabled person during a staged church miracle service.
Solade made the revelation in an interview with Feel Right News TV on Wednesday. He said it happened while he was still a student and had not yet become a well-known actor.
According to him, he was hired to pretend to be a cripple during the service and was paid for it.
“I have been used for a miracle then, when I was not popular. I acted as a cripple, they paid, I used the money to drink, then I was a student,” Solade said.
He said the incident happened early in his life, before he gained recognition in Nollywood.
However, Solade refused to reveal the names of those involved, saying they are still alive.
“The people involved are still alive; I just don’t want to mention names,” he said.
His account has again raised attention around staged miracles and claims that some people are used to make religious healings appear real.
