Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has revealed his football favourites, saying he wants no part in the long-running Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo debate.
In a recent interview with ESPN, the “Dai Dai” singer picked former Nigerian captain Jay Jay Okocha as the greatest footballer of all time.
Asked who he regards as the best player in history, Burna Boy said, “I will say Jay Jay Okocha. It is between him and Pele. I am not doing that Ronaldo or Messi stuff.”
The Afrobeats star also chose England captain Harry Kane as his favourite striker of all time.
Burna Boy revealed that Manchester United is the club he supports. He also named Barcelona teenage star Lamine Yamal as the best young player in the world.
For his favourite current Manchester United player, Burna Boy picked midfielder Kobbie Mainoo.
