Pastor David Ibiyeomie, founder of Salvation Ministries, has warned Christians against buying Christmas clothes before paying their tithes, describing the act as dangerous.
The pastor gave the warning during a Sunday sermon, which has since gained attention on social media through a viral video.
As the Christmas season approaches, Ibiyeomie urged church members to ensure they fulfil their tithing obligations before spending money on festive outfits.
“Year is ending, don’t buy Christmas clothes when you have not paid tithe. It’s dangerous. It’s very dangerous,” he said.
He also warned believers against holding back their tithes or using the money for other purposes during the Christmas period.
According to the cleric, Christians who fail to pay their tithes could expose themselves to misfortunes.
