Nigerian content creator-turned-actor, Kamo State, has addressed reports surrounding the absence of his godmother, Funke Akindele, from the premiere of his first cinema movie, Star Lomo, on Sunday.
Akindele’s absence had drawn attention online, with some social media users linking it to an alleged disagreement between the actress and Kamo.
However, Kamo explained that Akindele was outside the country when the premiere took place. He also asked people to stop making assumptions about their relationship, saying they remain on good terms.
“I woke up to see different opinions online about Iyamii and myself. Please we are on good terms.
“She missed my premiere because she wasn’t in the country. So please don’t assume otherwise. We have spoken about it, and she is going to support this film. I would appreciate it if our personal relationship isn’t speculated on,” he wrote on X platform.
